Machine Operator Trainee:


 

This position requires ability to operate, monitor, adjust and maintain paper-converting machinery. Prior experience in operating, troubleshooting, rebuilding or repair of machinery and equipment preferred. Inventory Management skills a plus. Successful candidate must have ability to occasionally lift/transport up to 45 lbs. with assistance. Mathematical and measurement skills are required. Reading comprehension ability also required. RSWP is a 24/7 operation. Employees routinely work any shift assigned.

Roses Southwest Papers, Inc., a major paper converting co, is seeking an Industrial Electrician. This position supports a 24-hour 4-shift operation requiring flexibility and on-call status. Applicant should have +2 years experience with facility, machinery and equipment.

Knowledge of PLC's, VF motor drives, Motion/Servo motors, HM interfaces and distributed control systems required. Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Elau, Gidding & Lewis products helpful. Routine job duties include installation, inspection, diagnostics, testing, repair and adjustment of manufacturing equipment. Strong control/troubleshooting abilities utilizing both schematics and ladder logic needed.

Successful candidate should have 2-3 years recent experience operating a forklift. The position routinely loads/unloads, stacks, stores, and tracks product and raw materials throughout the facility. Mathematical skills are required. Reading comprehension also required. Prior Forklift Certification needed. Our employees are reliable and timely. Must have communication skills, oral and written. Loss Reduction Coordinator


 

Roses Southwest Papers, Inc., a major paper converting co, is seeking a Loss Reduction Coordinator. This position assist management in such activities as quality control, inventory control or material flow methods. Will conduct statistical studies or analyze production costs concentrating on waste reduction and efficient operation. Continually interacts with all job levels and functions for input, investigation and collaboration.

Essential Job Functions

* Develop and implement programs to address problems related to production, materials, quality, waste and efficiency to reduce costs.

* Plan the flow of work or materials to maximize efficiency

* Modify equipment or processes to improve resource or cost efficiency * Inspect production processes * Analyze, estimate and/or report production costs * Compile operational data to develop cost or time estimates. Schedules or specifications

* Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities to improve worker efficiency and processes.

* Analyze operational, production, economic, or other data using statistical processes

* Investigate, generate and follow-up on vendor claims, as needed, to communicate damaged or non-conforming material back to suppliers or appropriate contacts.

* Manage loss reduction activity, including, but not limited to internal & external communication and training

* Perform process audits and reporting for purposes of loss reporting

* Evaluate and identify tracking methods for loss reporting and update method as necessary

* Implement standard data collection, reporting methods and update as necessary

Education and Experience:

* Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

* High school diploma or GED.

* Quality Control background preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Works well in a team environment and independently.

* Adapts to changing environments and varying daily tasks easily

* Demonstrates strong organization and time management skills

* Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels

* Positively and effectively communicates process changes

* MS Office, Data Analysis; bilingual is highly preferred.
